ABOUT

Climate and Nature Risk Intelligence, Grounded in Environmental Science and Earth Observation

Frontierra is a geospatial intelligence and analytics firm specialising in climate, nature and deforestation risk. We combine satellite data, AI, and advanced spatial analysis to help businesses identify and manage the environmental risks and opportunities that matter most, at asset level and across global supply chains.

We work with financial institutions, investment managers, developers, corporates, government agencies and NGOs, delivering the location-specific intelligence they need to make better decisions, meet disclosure requirements, and build long-term resilience.

OUR STORY

From Deforestation Monitoring to Integrated Climate and Nature Intelligence

2020

Where We Started

Frontierra was founded in 2020 with a clear purpose: to give decision-makers access to the kind of spatial intelligence that had previously only been available to a handful of specialist organisations.

We began with satellite-based deforestation monitoring, working with financial institutions to help them understand their exposure through agricultural supply chains, at a time when self-reported questionnaires were the default and the limitations were clear. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) was still on the horizon, but the demand for evidence-based analysis was already growing.

2022

Expanding Into Nature Risk and Opportunity

As the regulatory and commercial landscape evolved, so did we. The emergence of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) created new demand for nature risk and opportunity intelligence, and we were well placed to respond, having already developed the proprietary indicators and satellite-derived metrics needed to assess biodiversity, habitat quality, and land use at the asset level. Frontierra acted as technical experts on some of the earliest TNFD-aligned projects in Latin America, working with leading financial institutions navigating complex, multi-geography value chains.

2024

Integrating Climate Risk Assessment

A climate risk assessment service followed, driven by the same logic: clients needed more than sector-level averages. They needed to understand what was happening at their specific sites, under different climate scenarios, with enough clarity and depth to act on it. Our Climate and Nature Intelligence Platform was built to deliver exactly that, giving decision-makers not just data, but clear, actionable recommendations on what to do next.

TODAY

Where We Are Today

Today, Frontierra serves a broad range of clients across the UK, Australia, and the Americas, with global coverage and a consistent focus on what sets us apart: location-specific analysis, intelligible outputs, and integrated climate and nature intelligence in a single platform.

TEAM

Our Team

Frontierra was founded by people who had worked at the intersection of environmental science, sustainable finance, and geospatial technology, and who understood both the scale of the challenge and the gaps in the tools available to address it.

Brigette Reid, Co-Founder

Background: Environmental Impact Assessment, Sustainable Finance and ESG

Brigette is a specialist in environmental impact assessment, sustainable finance, ESG strategy, and environmental risk management. With a background in Environmental Science, she has an in-depth understanding of the complexities and interconnectivity of organisations and the natural environment. She has worked with financial institutions, corporates, governments and development organisations on integrating nature and climate risks and opportunities into investment and operational decision-making. Her experience spans infrastructure development, TNFD-aligned nature risk and opportunity assessments, ESG due diligence, and the practical challenges of aligning portfolio management with evolving disclosure frameworks.

Brigette has been closely involved in shaping Frontierra's commercial approach and in translating technical outputs into insights that are actionable for decision-makers. She has worked across real estate, infrastructure, agriculture, and financial services, with a focus on helping organisations move from disclosure as a compliance exercise to genuine understanding of their environmental exposure and opportunity.

Lewis Rattray, Co-Founder

Background: Earth Observation and GIS

Lewis brings deep technical expertise in satellite data, earth observation, and geospatial analysis. His background spans environmental monitoring, land use change detection, and the application of remote sensing to financial and regulatory use cases. He has led the development of Frontierra's proprietary methodology for deforestation monitoring and nature risk and opportunity assessment, including work on biodiversity indicators, habitat connectivity mapping, and land use classification at scale.

Lewis has delivered assessments for global financial institutions with investments and supply chains across the Americas, Southeast Asia, Australia and Africa, covering agricultural commodities including palm oil, soy, coffee, cocoa and rubber. He contributed to some of the earliest TNFD-aligned pilot projects, including work presented at the TNFD recommendations launch at New York Climate Week in 2023, and has hands-on experience applying the TNFD LEAP approach across multi-tier supply chains.

Henry Morgan, Co-founder

Background: Sustainable Investment and Infrastructure

Henry brings more than fifteen years of experience operating at the intersection of strategy, risk, sustainability and decision-making. Prior to Frontierra, Henry spent over seven years leading sustainable investment strategy across a global portfolio of infrastructure and real assets spanning the UK, Europe and Australia, representing more than £10 billion in assets under management. Henry has extensive experience in climate risk assessment within real assets portfolios, including direct experience implementing physical risk quantification, scenario analysis and climate disclosure frameworks at scale. His experience covers renewable energy, energy transition, natural capital and sustainable infrastructure, with extensive expertise in frameworks including ISSB (superseding TCFD), TNFD, SFDR, the EU Taxonomy and UK SDR.

A challenge Henry repeatedly encountered throughout his investment career was that while environmental and climate data were becoming increasingly abundant, decision-makers often lacked the insight needed to turn that information into practical action. Frontierra's Climate and Nature Intelligence Platform was created to bridge that gap, transforming complex geospatial and environmental data into actionable intelligence that supports better decisions, stronger resilience and more effective capital allocation.
